Willie and the Wheel
I was going to wait and write this post on my husband’s birthday, but decided to go ahead.
It seems like I’m making it a tradition that for my husband’s birthday, I buy concert tickets. Several years ago, I bought tickets to see one of our favorite bands lead singer…Evan Dando (The Lemonheads) perform at the Cats’ Cradle in Carrboro. Actually, I think we saw him two years in a row. The next year, we saw Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings. Last year, we saw VAN HALAN (which totally rocked) and this year I just bought tickets to see Willie Nelson! Yes, Willie Nelson. Not sure how old he is, but he is a legend.
You can’t live without classics such as “Always on my mind” or “On The Road Again!” Did you know that he wrote Patsy Cline’s best know song….”Crazy” I didn’t!

He will be performing at the Durham Performing Arts Center which will be a great venue to watch him. Asleep at the Wheel will also be performing. I saw them about 8-10 years ago (darn I’m getting old) with George Strait!
