Ah…..a new year….
Well, I survived New Year’s! 2009 is here and I’m looking forward to making it a great year. But, I must look back at 2008 and remember what made 2008 great. I found this great article in News and Observer about looking back at North Raleigh/Mid Town in 2008. Click Here to Read. It made me think about what my highlights were of 2008.
My personal top five 2008 moments:
#5 HOUSE FOR SALE - We finally put our townhouse up for sale! Eventhough the housing market sucks, our house if for sale! Looking forward to selling it and finally buying a non-connected home!
#4 - TRAVELING - I was able to travel to both Denver and Seattle this year. One was for fun, the other for work. Either way, it was great visiting with friends and family and experiencing other places!
#3 - ANNIVERSAY - Celebrating 5 YEARS at NBC17. Although I didn’t do anything to celebrate, being at the station for 5 years is an accomplishment in itself and I’m proud that I’ve stuck it out this long!
#2 - BUYING A NEW CAR! I decided to trade in the love of my life for 10 year, my 1997 Toyota Camry, for a newer car….a 2007 Honda Civic. The camry was the best car ever…after 190,000….I figured it would be best if I traded her in. Sniff, Sniff.
#1 - MARATHON! Running the OBX marathon will be hard to beat in 2009! But overall, as you may already know….this is my top moment of 2008! Hopefully in 2009 it will be running the NYC marathon….if I can get in!!
What are your top 5 moments of 2008?
Cheers to 2009!

2008 was the best year of my life…right behind 2000 when I got married.
Of course…number one reason…
1. My son Mason was born!!!
2. Increasing my responsibility of MyNC by building a sales department
3. Buying my first true NEW CAR!
4. Surviving being pregnant in the summer
5. Not one sick day taken even though I was sick straight for 12 weeks while being pregnant
